Never Knowing

In little things that life behold

Lie wandering stories left untold

With little secrets waiting to be shared

To ones that never knew they cared.

Unspoken feelings kept deep within

Unspoken truths for them to hear

Distance kept from in between

Each other’s presence was the fear.

Never had the chance to say

The only wish for one to stay

All these feelings kept inside

Because of one person’s pride.

Parted ways without thinking

Never knowing who was hurting

Never able to ask why

Never able to say goodbye.

  1. When I read this, I told myself that the writer has that special someone on his/her mind. Am I right? 🙂
Nice poem indeed. Sometimes we should swallow our pride in order for us to appreciate things.
