Life

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”

I think this is a very common quote for facing the challenges in life. However, what if you get tired of it? What if the many countless challenges you’ve faced you’ve become one of the best persons there can be. What come after that? it it simply a repetition of your everyday life or would you choose to either try unmoral acts to balance it out or try something unique, in which you’ll be criticized.

I think everyone has dreams. After all its the source of our drive to actually reach it. Our ambitions are basically our so called purpose selfish as it may be. However, what is there after we reach it? We make another one, and then work hard to reach it, or it can possibly be easy due to the fact that we’re reached the previous dream. And then what comes after? After the numerous repetitions that have passed, what is there to do? Theoretically speaking a person who has reached all his ambitions will have purpose, so in the end are everything we do all selfish acts just to satisfy our egos? Our pride?

So at the end of our very lives, tho this already a very profound topic and I do believe all of us here have our own beliefs about life, is life really all about ourselves? I mean even choosing to serve others, isn’t that also a way to satisfy that person’s own ego? That he/she is the man who helped multiple people. It may not be about pride, about reputation but possibly life is all about self satisfaction. Just another food for thought.

  1. My cousin once told me, “When life gives you lemons, make orange juice and let everyone simply wonder how you did it.” I think aside from just doing repetitive things, and aiming for straightforward goals, there’s always room to innovate and make life more exciting by going off course a little.

  2. I also made a quote myself about lemons: “When life gives you lemons, don’t use it all up for lemonade. Save some for lemon pie.” I agree with the part that we all have dreams and we dream for self-satisfaction. 🙂
